Donations of stock or other securities to Dranesville UMC are processed through the Virginia United Methodist Foundation, which processes the donation fee free for the church. The security will be liquidated and the church will receive the donation as cash.

If you would like to donate securities, please follow the instructions below:

  • Download the Gift of Publicly Traded Securities form below
  • Complete the form per the instructions at the top the form.
  • Send a copy of the completed form to your financial service person
  • Send a copy of the completed form to the Virginia United Methodist Foundation (VAUMF)
  • Once VAUMF’s broker, Merrill Lynch has received and liquidated the donation, VAUMF will
    • Email the Dranesville UMC financial secretary with notification of the donation
    • Transfer the monetary donation to the church’s account
    • Send the donor a letter via USPS documenting the donation.
